Welcome to East Shores Owners' Association

East Shores is a neighborhood located on the northeast side of Lake James in Morganton, NC. Lake James is at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is the first in a chain of lakes created by Duke Energy along the Catawba River and boasts deep, beautiful, clean water.

The neighborhood offers phenomenal views of the lake and the mountains and deeded boat slips for those without waterfront properties, a pool, multiuse court, and friendly neighbors. It's a great place to live, and we have residents of all ages and in all stages of life.

The neighborhood of East Shores is only 15 minutes from the town of Morganton, NC, a charming town known for its historical artistry including the Joara site, one of the earliest European settlements in what is now the United States, artisan restaurants and craft breweries, wineries, many art studios and galleries featuring pottery and ceramics, ironwork, jewelry, fiber arts and more.
